With employers facing increasing pressures to control labour costs those responsible for HR matters need to understand in detail the steps that they can take to manage their workforce.
During this seminar we will consider some of the alternatives to redundancy and, when there is no option, the steps that must be taken to carry out the process correctly, minimising the risks of any subsequent claims. In particular we will consider:
· The 7 alternatives to redundancy
· The importance of the consultations process and why it must take place
· The do’s and don'ts of selections criteria
· Alternative work - what does it mean and what are the obligations?
· Who has special protection?
· Essential steps in managing dismissal
The seminar is designed to be interactive providing you with the opportunity to raise your own issues and feature case studies to provide a practical understanding of particular situations.
Venue: Corinium Museum Park Street Cirencester Glos GL7 2BX. Registration 2.30pm; presentation 2.45pm; finish approx 4.30pm. Refreshments will be available. There is no charge for this seminar.
