A concise, two hour Workshop covering the new Admissions Code due to come into force in late 2008 including:

• How this affects your consultation on admissions for 2010 (to be completed by March 2009)
• New arrangements for published admission numbers (PAN)
• Greater involvement of LAs and the School Adjudicator in scrutinising admission policies
• The role of "School Ethos" in admission policies
• Expansion of LA co-ordinated admission schemes to include "in year admissions"
• Further developments in "In Year Fair Access Protocols"
• New requirements on LAs regarding the readmission of children with challenging behaviour
