  • Acting for a company from a national bus group at a Public Inquiry where punctuality, reliability and failure to display destination blinds were in issue.  After submissions, the Traffic Commissioner decided that the company should not be fined under the Transport Act. 
  • Advising a national bus group regarding cross boundary bus service registration.
  • Advising a national bus group regarding flexible registrations and whether it was appropriate to claim Bus Service Operator’s Grant.  Also advising regarding rebate claims for concessionary fares. 
  • Acting for a national waste company in an environmental Public Inquiry in relation to an ex-military site in an Area of Outstanding National Beauty; 
  • Advising representative organizations and local businesses in relation to proposed Traffic Regulation Orders on the A368 Somerset and in the Cotswolds.
  • Advising a bus company where the local authority threatened to remove them from a competitive tendering process. 
  • Advising a major utilities company on the interpretation of drivers’ hours and tachograph exemptions.

Also, numerous Public Inquiries for bus companies and hauliers regarding maintenance issues, magistrates’ court hearings including in relation to drivers hours and tachographs, and appeals to the Transport Tribunal.
